I ran into a group of students in the Chinese Embassy in Germany and then again on my way back home. They were youngsters in their 20s. I ran towards them and gave them leaflets about the persecution of Falun Dafa, in both German and Chinese. In the past, Chinese people often felt too scared to accept materials about Dafa because they could easily get persecuted by Jiang’s regime for reading them. However, they accepted the materials without hesitation and smiled.
I was with a group of practitioners and we were holding a peaceful appeal outside of the Chinese Embassy. We wanted to tell people about the 3-year campaign of hate and terror launched by Jiang Zemin against nearly 100 million innocent Chinese Falun Gong practitioners in China. After our appeal was over, I headed for the bus station and saw the Chinese students again. They were waiting for a bus and closely reading the leaflets that we had given them earlier. They ten came over to talk with us. I told them that my Mom recovered from heart disease after she began to practise Falun Gong. One girl was puzzled and asked, “Falun Gong is a practice of healing and fitness. Why would the Chinese government persecute it? Falun Gong does not have any interest in conflicts with the government.” She could not come up with an answer.
I told her that we have to think about this rationally, then we can see how totally irrational the Jiang regime’s tactics are. It is unbelievable that certain members of the Chinese government persecute Falun Gong. Most of the government officials were opposed to the suppression and had family members who had benefited a lot from practising Falun Gong. It is Jiang Zemin that is jealous of Falun Gong. Tens of millions of people thought more highly of Falun Gong than they did of the suppression of freedom encouraged by Jiang Zemin, which is the main reason for Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong.
The Chinese girl said that the leader of the communist party has now changed. I told her that this is not true – although another person sits in the public spotlight as leader, Jiang still retains control over his regime from the background. Then she realized. She asked me if I was spreading Falun Gong. I said that the media in China deceived people and published lies and that I was just telling the truth to the people because no one liked to be deceived. She nodded and felt it was reasonable.
When one Chinese person asked how they could know how good Falun Gong is, her friend told her that she could only know this by learning to practise. Though they had only been outside China for 8 months, they were no longer affected by the propaganda that infiltrates Chinese society.
As I neared home, I met another Chinese college student. She told me she that she had seen many reports about Falun Gong in a newspaper. She was proud that she knew the truth about the abuse of Falun Gong practitioners in labour camps and detention centres in China and was not deceived by the Jiang Regime’s lies into hating so many good people.
A few more Chinese knew the truth and I was glad for them.
