The Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party in the UK recently replied to a letter from practitioners regarding the widely opposed Article 23 legislation that is being proposed in Hong Kong. He said "I appreciate you taking the time write to me and am very sympathetic with the points that you raise. I would like to assure you that my colleagues and I in the Liberal Democrats take your concerns very seriously..."
He added "It is always immensely valuable to hear the views of informed individuals like yourself and I would like to assure you that I have made a note of your comments and will bear them in mind in future policy discussions."
