Relentlessly Clarifying the Truth in Chinese Populated Districts

I would like to share with everyone some experiences about clarifying the truth about the true situation of Falun Gong in a Chinese populated district of a certain big city whilst I distributed newspapers.

Last year one winter day, the local Falun Dafa practitioners went weekly to the Chinese populated districts to practise the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. When the Taiwanese practitioners came, we distributed over a thousand VCDs on a large scale. Therefore more of the Chinese in this area had more or less heard of or read Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials. There were Chinese people who were very supportive of Falun Gong and there were also those who would like to learn Falun Gong. But the number of Chinese here was very large, furthermore the movement of people into the Chinese populated district was very fast, in addition, there were individuals who held on to their views and refused to change or read the materials. Although in proportion, this number wasn’t great but from the absolute numbers the quantity wasn’t small. I made use of the opportunity of distributing newspapers and clarified the truth from a third party’s viewpoint and the effect has always been quite good.

When clarifying the truth, I discovered that some people, although they were not against Falun Gong or were supportive of Falun Gong, they more or less still had areas which they were unclear about. Besides rectifying their misconceptions, I also told them about how great the Falun Dafa practitioners in China were, how the overseas Falun Dafa practitioners were appealing for their fellow practitioners in China and I also shared some Falun Dafa practitioners experiences that they have had during their cultivation. I chatted with some people for half an hour and up to an hour, when they were free and had nothing to do, they were very fond of chatting. In this way they soon came to understand the truth some said, “Falun Gong is still good”. Some said if it was not that he was too busy, he would like to practise Falun Gong too. Some admired practitioners because they knew that everything that they do is out of their free will and is completely voluntarily. The news spread very quickly amongst them. One person who had come to know the truth would naturally tell other people that Falun Gong was good while chatting with another person. Therefore I thought that I should not just pin point those who had misunderstandings about Falun Gong, but I realised that I should clarifying the truth more deeply and intricately to all the Chinese people that I meet. The emphasis in clarifying the truth should be on the words, “clarify the truth until their understanding is thorough and clear” and in this way the righteous field would have a solid foundation.

One time when I was in a shop, four of five shop keepers who did not know the true situation about Falun Gong rushed towards me whilst shouting the moment I mentioned Falun Gong. I walked to the front of the person who was shouting the most and started to clarify the truth about the staged ‘self-immolation’ incident by stating the facts one by one. Gradually she stopped talking and listened to what I was saying for a while and then walked away. I chatted with the rest of the people for over an hour before leaving. I discussed issues from Falun Gong to China’s politics, to the financial situation and back to Falun Gong. A few days later I met the shopkeeper who had claimed that she would never accept Falun Gong truth clarifying materials. She was very happy to see me and gladly accepted the VCD and a little booklet. The second week I went there again to give them some VCDs and they all happily accepted them.

There were many Chinese people living here. There were also a lot of China’s official newspapers been distributed. Many people from the Chinese Consulate pulled a little cart to distribute the newspapers to inform people that they are not allowed to practise Falun Gong. Luckily within the past year, the local Falun Dafa practitioners clarified the truth widely and set a very good foundation. The local practitioners also sued some of the Chinese people from the Chinese Consulate due to their atrocious behaviour towards practitioners. This toned down the rampant arrogance of these evil people. One female boss of a shop did not want the truth clarifying materials and even chased me away, saying that Falun Gong had sued her. I asked her why and what did she actually do to deserve it. She was quite embarrassed and did not dare to say anything. She just used all of her effort to make me leave. She once publicly slandered Falun Gong under the instigation of the Chinese Consulate. The Chinese people in the city and surrounding districts all knew about this incident.

The truth is ultimately the truth and so the lies were exposed one by one. I think what was important was to clarify the truth face to face in a deeper and more refined way, whether from the position of a Falun Gong practitioner or as a third party. As a third party we can also clarify the truth very clearly and thoroughly, mainly the heart must be righteous. On the other hand, I realised that when I slacked of in my study of the principles of Falun Gong less when my state of mind was not good, when I distributed the newspapers people’s reactions are also very bland and they wouldn’t say anything. When I studied the principles of Falun Dafa more and my state of mind was good, many people would be able to see what their misunderstandings were towards Falun Gong by themselves without me having to ask.

These are just some of my experiences that I wanted to share with everyone.
