Today, with a broken heart, I am writing to let you know how my wife Chen Ouxiang lost her life.
Chen Ouxiang, 43 years old, was a housewife from Wangdun Town, Hunan Province. She was a hardworking, kindhearted, and sincere woman. She started to practise Falun Gong in December 1997.
After the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, she twice went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. On November 11, 2001, when she went to Beijing to appeal for the second time, she was arrested. Without any legal procedure, the police sent her to a detention centre. Later she was transferred to Baimalong Labour Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. While in detention, she never gave up her firm belief in Falun Gong. As a result, she was subjected to various inhuman tortures. She died at 7:30 p.m. on October 26, 2002. When I went to take a final heart-breaking look at her, I saw 6 shocking bruises on her body. I wanted to further examine her body, but the police forcibly stopped me. They claimed that my wife died of a heart attack.
