Doing Well Outside But Not Doing Well At Home: There Is Still a Gap

After the experience sharing conference held at the end of the year between German Dafa practitioners ended, one fellow practitioner told me, “Please send my regards to your husband. Regardless of whether he likes to hear this or not, please pass my message to him. Why is it that you feel that a change in him is so difficult? Why is it so difficult to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to Chinese people? Maybe it is because he brought with him all the degenerate notions in his universe. [See ref 1] All the things that should be rectified in his universe all pressing down on him alone.”

After hearing these words, at that moment I suddenly felt light and relieved, the capacity of tolerance in my heart increased. During these last few years, the tribulations between my husband and myself seemed to be endless. Reading the experiences of other fellow practitioners, it seemed that sometimes one word or an incident would just make the family member change their perceptions. I frequently used human notions to reason with him. The more I reasoned with him the more confusing it got and the angrier I became. I recalled that one fellow practitioner mentioned that to clarify the truth to a few people whom you knew very well might only take a few minutes, but before that, the elevation of one’s xinxing [moral quality] took a few months. Perhaps the utterance of these few words was not simply a few words, it was breaking through a layer of human shell and rectifying a whole cosmic body. That’s why it seemed so difficult and took such a long time. An incident that was seemingly uneventful in this dimension was really splendid and wondrous in the other dimensions.

As his wife, the change in him was directly related to me. Every word I said to him should carry with it the pure and clean state of mind of a Dafa practitioner and the essence of the facts about Dafa. In this way I could then continually correct the degenerate notions in his head and help him to create a wonderful future for himself. After realising this point, I felt that my responsibility as a Fa-rectification practitioner was great. Therefore to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to sentient beings outside the home cannot replace the part of clarifying the facts to one’s family members. Doing well outside but not doing well at home: there was still a gap.

Fa-rectification in the family is a link that every Dafa practitioner needs to complete themselves. It will not change on it’s own with changes in the external environment.
