The activities took place at Belmore Basin, which is one of the most popular tourist spots on the coastline of Wollongong.
This year's activities included a one-hour exercise demonstration on a stage overlooking the boat harbour, with many people showing keen interest and accepting Falun Dafa flyers.
As well as the exercise demonstration, practitioners set up a photo show of the peaceful journey of Falun Dafa, gave away free Falun Dafa balloons and bookmarks to children, and especially demonstrated the fine art of Chinese calligraphy, attracting hundreds of people who took away samples of the fine art as well as Falun Dafa information.
This year, practitioners realised that truth clarification is the main aim of the activity, and video & audio effects can intensively clarify the facts of Falun Dafa to people, so hundreds of "Real Story" VCD's were copied. At the end of the day practitioners had completely run out of flyers and VCD's.
The support of the local community was reflected by the keenness of the Australia Day Committee to give practitioners an open invitation to participate in the local activities any time in the future, without the need to make formal application, and all fees have been waived for the Falun Dafa group.
