After Knowing the Truth

A young Chinese man, around 20, moved in this apartment some time ago. We happened to meet in the public kitchen for cooking, and we naturally started to talk about Falun Gong. That night, I sent him a VCD which clarified the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution and a booklet in Chinese. On seeing them, he said, “I took the VCD in Berlin and saw the VCD as well. They are way too much (to Falun Gong)! The booklet seems to be a new one. I haven’t read it yet. Thank you!” He came to knock at my door after a while to borrow Zhuan Falun as it’s not available anymore in the Mainland. He gets to know more and more about the truth as another fellow practitioner lives in the neighborhood too. It was also over there that he listened to some part of Master Li’s Fa lecture. He, however, does not quite understand some of the phenomena about practising cultivation mentioned in the book.

He was beside me one day when I talked with another practitioner about collecting signatures to rescue Xiong Wei, who studies in Berlin Industrial University. After a while, he approached us voluntarily for the signature-collecting form to rescue Xong Wei and said that he’d like to make a copy so that he could use it for professors and classmates in class tomorrow. He gave me many collected signatures every night for the following several days and talked cheerfully about experiences during his collecting signatures. For example, he went to the teacher before class and talked about Xiong Wei. The teacher then started the class by mentioning this and asked students willing to give their support to Xiong Wei to sign their names on the forms, which had a very good effect. Looking at these forms, he sighed, “If each of ten thousand practitioners collects 100 signatures, it accounts for one million. See how much influence it may have!” Seeing his pure heart, I told him the principle of cause and effect – that he will have good returns if he treats Dafa well. He slowly spoke his thoughts , “I didn’t understand Falun Gong when I was in Mainland China after seeing the propaganda on TV and some bad words about Falun Gong told me by my friends. Over here, I’ve got the chance to get touch with Falun Gong practitioners and I feel that you are all nice people. Besides, what Teacher Li has said truly makes sense. It isn’t like what was said on TV. It’s not easy for you to do these, so I’d like to help you as much as I can.”

At the same time, he started to clarify the truth to friends and family surrounding him. One day, he mentioned to us his phone conversation with his friends, “He once told his sister about helping to collect signatures for the release of Xiong Wei. As his sister was influenced by the propaganda on TV in Mainland, she somewhat misunderstood what she was told. As the signature collecting was also initiated by one international human rights organization, he comforted his sister that he was only helping the human rights organization with signature collecting. Another time he talked openly and aboveboard to his sister about his understanding of Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution in Mainland. As his sister was influenced by the negative propaganda back home, she still couldn’t understand properly the truth and she probably said something she misunderstood. Afterwards, he said he was also surprised that he is now patient enough to listen to someone else’s opposing opinion for such a long time as he used to have such a bad temper. Though he didn’t tolerate it at the end (of the conversation), he still felt amazed byDafa’s power, as he had just barely started to read Zhuan Falun.

It happened to be the time to send forth righteous thoughts in Europe when he came to send out the signature collecting forms one night. So I spoke to him on how to send forth righteous thoughts and generally demonstrated it to him. He went back to his room as he didn’t want to disturb me in sending forth righteous thoughts. He knocked at the door a while after I finished sending forth righteous thoughts, and sighed with his eyes widely open, “It’s magic! How magic! Now I truly believe it!” It was because he tried to send forth righteous thoughts after he had gone back to his room. When he was just calming down, he saw something fluttering in front of him. He, however, saw nothing after he had his eyes open. He closed his eyes again but he still saw it. He couldn’t help but open his eyes again but he still didn’t see anything. He finally decided to close his eyes regardless of anything. However, when he just did the lotus hand position, he felt a strong energy flow from his lumbar region rushing up to his head, which was then flying out from his head. It was so real! This made him think of the experience when practicing the 5th exercise with another practitioner that a similar strong energy flow exists in his body.

We deeply felt Master Li’s great heart of benevolence and Dafa’s power. We even came to realize the importance of clarifying the truth in time to save sentient beings.
