On Thursday the 30th of September 2004, RFI broadcast the following report in Mandarin to the Asia Pacific region:
“Sandstorm”, a film depicting Falun Gong, won the best film prize at the International Houston Multicultural Film Festival. The Parisian Falun Gong spokesman sent us this announcement.
The report published on Clearwisdom on the 30th of September says the Chinese Consulate put pressure on the USA Houston Film Festival Committee, but was unsuccessful. It also said that this was an independent film produced by a group of people from Canada.
