Dear Excellency
With great concern, I have come to learn about the imprisonment of Dr. Charles Li, a US Citizen, who was detained after arriving at Guangzhou Airport on January 22 this year. He is facing a sentence of up to 15 years in a Chinese prison on dubious charges and is only allowed 30 minutes per month of contact with the US Embassy.
Dr Li has done nothing wrong, he is - like me - someone who practises a cultivation way that is based on the three principles of "Truthfulness - Compassion - Tolerance". Falun Dafa is a practice that is highly welcomed around the world and has received many recommendations, especially in the US. Even the US Senate has passed a resolution condemning the persecution of Falun Dafa in China last year.
I respect the Unites States as a nation with great and upright opinions in the fields of human rights, and therefore my hopes concerning the immediate release of Dr Li lie in the great abilities of your nation.
