Mr. Cao Jingdong Transferred to Brainwashing Centre Despite His Prison Term Ending

A 70-year-old woman recently went to the Security Section of Daqing Installation Company to demand the release of her son, Mr. Cao Jingdong, who was sentenced to a year and a half in a labour camp because he practises Falun Gong.

Mr. Cao was was supposed to be released as soon as his term ended, but when the term came to an end, Liu Xiping, the head of the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) at Daqing Petroleum Company, and section chief Zhu Zunren transferred Mr. Cao from Suihua Labour Camp to the Yichun Brainwashing Centre.

They also coerced Mr. Cao's former employer to pay 30,000 yuan¹ for the persecution of its own employee.

Mr. Cao's family called the Suihua Forced Labour Camp on August 22nd. The labour camp said that Mr. Cao could not be released when his term ended, unless his employer and the local 610 Office approved. Mr. Cao's family went to the Petroleum Company 610 Office right away. The 610 Office head, Liu Xiping, told them, “He cannot be released even though his term is up; he has to stay at Yichun for two months and his employer has to pay 30,000 yuan.”

The next day, Mr. Cao's family went to the labour camp to bring Mr. Cao home, but when they got there Mr. Cao wasn't around. He had been transferred out at 5 a.m. that morning by people from 610 Office and the Installation Company, Mr. Cao's former employer.

Mr. Cao Jingdong Benefited Greatly from Falun Gong

Mr. Cao Jingdong used to be a driver at the transportation team of the Installation Company at the Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau, but he had left this employment long ago. Prior to practising Falun Gong, Mr. Cao abused alcohol, gambled, and got into physical fights with others. He had a very bad temper and those around him were afraid of him.

Yet after starting to practise Falun Gong in 1997, Mr. Cao became a different person. He was kind to others and did not get into fights anymore. He became a good worker and never caused trouble for his supervisor. He never stole petrol from his employer or used any company cars to make money on the side. Mr. Cao's supervisor often praised him, saying that if every employee were like Cao Jingdong, then the company would not lose money.

Subjected to Years of Persecution

In 1999, under the leadership of Jiang Zemin, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which believes itself above the law, used all the media resources in China to slander Falun Gong. They wronged the founder of Falun Gong and poisoned the minds of people inside and outside of China with their lies. Like many other Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Cao Jingdong did not want to betray Falun Gong. He would not go against his own conscience and slander Falun Gong, and he wanted to tell people about the goodness of Falun Gong so others could also benefit.

As a result, Mr. Cao was sent to forced labour camps three times and imprisoned for six and a half years. He suffered physically and psychologically. Even so, Mr. Cao did not change his heart. To force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief, the CCP sends them to brainwashing centres, forcing them to listen to the CCP's lies and trying to get the practitioners to say disrespectful things toward Falun Gong and stop practising Falun Gong. If Falun Gong practitioners do not comply, they will be tortured, drugged, and threatened, so that they will be “transformed” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] and meet the brainwashing centre's quota “transformation” quota.

Mr. Cao is the only son of the family and lived with his mother. Last year, because Mr. Cao picked up a package for his friend (a satellite TV receiver), he was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in a forced labour camp. Traumatised by her son's imprisonment, Mr. Cao's mother broke down and had a cerebral haemorrhage. She had brain surgery and was almost in a vegetative state for a time. When Mr. Cao's elderly mother finally saw the end of her son's prison term, she discovered he had been transferred away without her knowing, and she feared that he would suffer even more torture. Accompanied by her daughter, Mr. Cao's mother went to see Zhu Zunren and asked him for the release of her son. Zhu Zunren flew into a rage and shouted at Mr. Cao's sister: “Do you practise Falun Gong? Are you asking me for your brother? Your brother practises Falun Gong. Falun Gong is forbidden, and I represent the CCP, I have the right to make arrests! I am the person who gives orders for the arrests. If you practise (Falun Gong), I also have the right to arrest you ... I arrested him, you can report me to wherever you want!”

Mr. Cao's mother is unable to speak and she limps due to her recent brain haemorrhage, yet Zhu Zunren still shouted at the elderly woman. He also threatened her other family members and intimidated her daughter. It got to the point that Mr. Cao's mother was getting a headache and became nauseous. Disregarding the elderly woman's safety, Zhu Zunren threatened her daughter: “Since your mother is sick today, I will let you off this time...”

Why are lower-level officials like Zhu Zunren behaving so arrogantly. Why do they have such authority to freely detain people! The Chinese Constitution provides freedom of belief and speech for its citizens. Why are those officials ignoring the law and trying to force others to change their beliefs? Why do they lie, spread rumours, and use threats and intimidation to prevent Chinese people from learning the truth about Falun Gong? Zhu Zunren, Liu Xipin, and others' crimes—human rights violations—reflect the true nature of the CCP. Falun Gong teaches people compassion, to cultivate their hearts, and do good deeds. Falun Gong cultivators' morality is elevated and their health is improved. It has been well received by people all over the world. But Falun Gong is a mirror which reflects all the CCP's wrongdoings; thus the CCP is so afraid of it.

We sincerely hope that all citizens of China learn the truth about Falun Gong and purge the CCP's poisonous lies.
