Healthy Man Dies Two Days after Hospitalisation for Hunger Strike
2017-08-19Mr. Gao Yixi, from Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province, died under suspicious circumstances two days after he was sent to the hospital for being on a hunger strike. Mr. Gao, who practised Falun Gong, was protesting his and his wife’s unlawful arrest and detention for their faith. His death occurred on April 30, only ten days after he was arrested. He was 45. -
Torture Methods Used on Falun Gong Practitioners in Dandong City
2017-06-16According to data compiled by Minghui.org, in 2016, a total of 218 Falun Gong practitioners in Dandong City, Liaoning Province were sentenced to prison; there were also 428 incidents of practitioners being sent to forced labour camps and 596 detainments. Torture methods used to persecute practitioners since 1999 include: practitioners being beaten, often with belts, bamboo boards, and other objects. Some were punched in the face by police officers. -

2017-04-09According to information compiled by Minghui.org, 80 Chinese citizens, 44 of whom are female, are confirmed to have died in 2016 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Ms. Wang Xiuyun, in her 70s, lived in Henan Province. She was arrested on May 13th, 2016, for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin. She died within hours of her arrest, and the police did not give any explanation to her family for her death. -
Jilin Woman Dies in Custody, Family Suspects Foul Play
2017-03-18A Da’an City resident died of respiratory failure while detained for her belief in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Her family suspects that it was brutal force-feeding by the guards that damaged her lungs. Ms. Han Hongxia, 57, was arrested and had her home ransacked on October 18th, 2016. The guards at Baicheng City Detention Centre subjected Ms. Han to various forms of torture, including force-feeding, because she refused to renounce Falun Gong.
