Ms. Fu Xuebing from Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, and her 6-month-old daughter were arrested in Dongguan City around October 26th, 2012. They may be taken back to Meizhou City. It is unknown which Chinese Communist Party body made the arrest.
On the morning of May 21st, 2012, Xue Qingwen, then head of the Meijiang District Police Department's Domestic Security Division, along with three plainclothes policemen including Zhong Jiazheng, broke into Ms. Fu's home in Meijiang District, Meizhou City, and tried to arrest her.
Ms. Fu was able to escape with her infant daughter. The police stayed behind to ransack her home, confiscating many personal belongings, including a laptop, two cell phones, MP4 players and Falun Gong books. Subsequently, they followed Ms. Fu's family members for several days in an attempt to locate her.
On October 1st, 2012, officers from Meijiang District Police Department's Domestic Security Division harassed Ms. Fu's parents-in-law, threatening that they would take measures if Ms. Fu did not return to Meizhou City and cooperate with them. Ms. Fu was arrested three weeks later.
Fired from work and forced into homelessness for her belief
Ms. Fu, 38, is a former manager of Bank of China's Meijiang branch. On May 15th, 2008, because she explained the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to her colleagues and clients, she was reported to her supervisors. Her employer cooperated with the Meijiang District 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) to send Ms. Fu to a brainwashing centre run by the Meizhou City 610 Office. Ms. Fu was able to escape two days later, but had to become homeless to avoid further persecution. As she could not return to work, her employer then fired her.
On the morning of May 15th, 2010, the Meijiang District 610 Office ordered local police to arrest Ms. Fu. Police arrested her while she was visiting a dentist. They also ransacked her home and confiscated her laptop. Ms. Fu was sent to the Qinhuang Detention Station in Meizhou City. On May 23rd, without notifying her family or producing any legal documentation, authorities transferred her to a brainwashing centre in Sanshui City, Guangdong Province. She was released at the end of August 2010 and returned home.
