Ms. Shi Meiqin and Ms. Yang Chumei, a retired teacher, are Falun Gong practitioners in Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. They were arrested on the morning of July 3rd, 2012, and have been held in Shanwei Detention Centre for almost four months. On the afternoon of September 11th, 2012, the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) secretly tried them.
Ms. Yang was held in the Sanshui Brainwashing Centre in 2004. In the middle of March 2010, she was again arrested and sent to Sanshui Brainwashing Centre and was persecuted there for nearly a year. This time, she was arrested by the 610 Office in Shanwei City. The trial was held in Shanwei Courthouse, and there was no verdict at the conclusion of the session.
