On March 7 between 10 am to 1 pm, Houston Dafa practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Houston to urgently call on the Chinese government to release US citizen Charles Li immediately. Reporters from World Journal Daily and NTD TV came to conduct interviews. Practitioners told reporters about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang's regime and its "610" offices [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches]. They hoped that through their efforts, kind people could help to rescue Charles Li, so that he could be released soon to reunite with his family in the US.
