On August 2, 2013, local Falun Dafa practitioners in Yalta, a well-known tourist destination in Crimea, Ukraine, held several activities. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, shared the benefits of the practice with passersby, and collected signatures on a petition calling for a stop to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) crimes of forced organ harvesting from living Falun Dafa practitioners imprisoned in China.
“Why are China-made goods so cheap?” asked a tourist.
“Since the Party started to persecute Falun Gong in July 1999,” explained a practitioner, “they have illegally detained tens of thousands of practitioners in labour camps and prisons.
“Every day these Falun Gong practitioners are forced to do heavy manual labour, which, of course, affects their health. The only thing the prison supervisors care about is turning a profit. They care nothing about the wellbeing of these practitioners.”
"So that's it!” exclaimed the man. “Now, I know why China's products are so cheap. They use slave labour to produce a lot of their goods!”
Three young people passed by the practitioners' booth talking loudly. When they overheard the practitioners telling passersby about the Chinese regime's practice of removing organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, they were startled by the seriousness of what they heard and stopped to read the informational display boards.
“I think it is a good idea for all of us to sign the petition” said one of them. So they added their signatures to the petition form.
A well-dressed, middle-aged woman signed the petition. She asked for a stack of fliers and brochures for her family members, including booklets exposing the Chinese regime's practice of organ harvesting.
“Some people consider the CCP a political party,” said a tourist while signing the petition. “But actually, they're a gang of rogue bandits! What 'political party' are people talking about?”
Two tourists from Israel thanked the practitioners for standing up for human rights. “What you are doing is exactly what our world needs,” said one of them.
