Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Shuyun was followed and arrested by officers from the Dadong District Police Station in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, on March 28th, 2013. The police ransacked her home and took her to the Dadong Detention Centre.

After four months, the detention centre called Ms. Zhao's family, claiming that Ms. Zhao had suffered a mental collapse.

Ms. Zhao had no mental problems before the recent arrest. Still, the Dadong Detention Centre guards went to Ms. Zhao's home to find out if she had a history of mental illness, most likely an attempt to conceal the fact that they tortured her.

Ms. Zhao was an employee of the Commerce Bank in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. Over the past eleven years of the persecution of Falun Gong, she has been held six times in detention centres, brainwashing centres, and police stations for a total of eight months. She also had been held in forced labour camps three times for a total of eight years.

Ms. Zhao's case files have been returned to the Domestic Security Division of the Dadong District Police Department. The clinic claims that Ms. Zhao suffered a mental collapse. However, the Dadong District police still refuse to release her.
