Slovak practitioners welcomed the coming of the New Year in front of the Chinese embassy in Bratislava. The light of candles illuminated banners, in front of which a group of practitioners did the Falun Gong exercises.
They wanted this symbolic gathering to call attention to Falun Gong, a cultivation practice of mind and body that has benefited millions around the world, yet is banned in China, the country of its origin.
Even as an uproar of New Year celebrations broke out around them at midnight, the practitioners sat in quiet meditation.
When the practitioners talked to a police offer on duty in that area and told him about the forced organ harvesting atrocities in China, he said it was horrible and wished the practitioners a Happy New Year.
