Poland: Locals Sign Petition Against Organ Harvesting

Falun Gong practitioners in Poland distributed materials in the Manufaktura, an arts centre, shopping mall and leisure complex, and Widzew District during February 14 and 16, 2014, to inform locals and tourists the facts of the persecution, especially forced organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners.

Many young couples were shopping during the Valentine's Day weekend. Some young couples with children also dined in the area. Many took flyers from practitioners and raised different questions to learn about the persecution. A radio station reporter also interviewed practitioners. He was shocked by the state-sanctioned organ harvesting in China.

A Woman Hugs a Practitioner Upon Knowing the Facts
After reading the display boards, a woman said sadly, “I can sign the petition. I also think the crimes should immediately stop. However, can my signature really help? Will the evil be stopped? Such a heinous crime in a huge country. Does my signature really make a difference?”

A practitioner told her, “Yes, your signature makes a big difference. First of all, it's going to make a difference for you. Chinese people talk about what goes around comes around. Your kind action will bring about kind results. If we all neglect the evil, how can good things happen? Don't worry. If men cannot take care of the problem, the heavens will. The world is beautiful. Please don't lose your faith in kindness no matter what evil exists in the world.”

The woman was so happy to hear it. She signed her name and hugged the practitioner before she left.

A young man was confused, “Doesn't China have laws? How come laws don't address such obvious legal violations?”

An older man answered his question, “Do you know what the communist party is? The communist party is all about how people have to obey the law, but it does not. Freedom is designed for the party only. It can do whatever it desires and say whatever it wants. It can lie, deceive, kill or slander, but regular citizens don't even have a place to tell the truth. The Polish communist party was like this. I believe that organ harvesting is true, as long as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) reigns. I will sign my name to support Falun Gong.” The young man signed the petition as well.

From Hesitation to “Let's Stop the Evil Together”
A young girl passed by the practitioners' booth. Upon reading the truth-clarification materials, she said, “My mother often says that the world will change for the better in 2020. I don't know if that will come true. But things as evil as organ harvesting is still happening. Is it going to be better in a few years? I will wait.”

A practitioner responded, “No, don't just wait. The world becomes worse when bad people do bad deeds and good people keep silent. If everyone remains silent, aren't we giving the bad people free rein? If so, the world in 2020 will only be worse. If we want the world to be better, we should stop the evil together. Then the world will become better even before 2020.”

The girl signed her name on the petition and took a stack of Falun Gong flyers, “I will send these to my friends so that we can stop the evil together.”

“Perhaps That Is Who You Are Looking For”
A young man in his twenties said as he was signing his name on the petition, “My grandfather passed away about fifteen or sixteen years ago. I remember him often telling me when he was alive, 'Remember that one day when you see that a certain disease is spreading all over the world, that's when the world will come to an end. At that time you should find a yellow-skinned man, who will come to save us.' All of you Chinese people are yellow-skinned. Do you know about this person that my grandfather was referring to? I often feel as if the world were coming to an end. It's so shocking that a government could live-harvest organs from people for their spiritual beliefs, and in such great numbers. Isn't this the end of the world?”

A Falun Gong practitioner pointed to the Polish version of Zhuan Falun and said to him, “If you can look upon the world with a calm heart and then read this book, you will no longer be bound by this end of the world. Why do I say that? My personal belief is that the world's end comes about when people can no longer distinguish between good and evil, and are punished by the Heavens. This book can enable people to discern good and evil, and find a moral compass. Then people will no longer do bad things intentionally, and you will become a good person. How could such a catastrophe harm a good person? Today many people are reading this book. In fact people in more than one hundred countries around the world are reading this book, and it has changed the hearts of more than one hundred million people. The book's author is indeed a yellow-skinned Chinese person, and perhaps that is who you are looking for.”

The young man, filled with excitement, carefully put a flyer with a picture of Zhuan Falun into his bag. He thanked the practitioner and said that he would learn about Falun Gong from the Internet as soon as he got home.

A teacher said after signing, “Please give me some flyers so that I can pass them out to my students.

A bank employee said, “I want some flyers for my co-workers, too, please.”

A supermarket guard said, “I want some too. The other guards at the supermarket should know about this, too.”

When a young woman and a young man passed by the Falun Gong display, someone suddenly said, “Hey wait, isn't this about the news reported by Channel 3 the other day about the live organ harvesting? Isn't it horrible? This was really true—look at this persecution against the Falun Gong.” More than 20 young men and women lined up to sign their names. Before departing, they said “Powodzenia”, or good luck, to the practitioners.

Over the course of three days, the Falun Gong practitioners received more than 1,100 signatures, many of whom were young people.
