“I was very touched during the march. Tears filled my eyes a few times. I am proud to be a Falun Gong practitioner,” said Ms. Müller from Germany.
“Falun Gong is not just a Chinese practice. It is relevant to the whole world. We are all searching for answers in life. If we truly follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the world will be so much better,” she added.
Ms. Müller was one of the practitioners who participated in the Falun Gong rally and march in Madrid on October 4, 2014, a part of an international Falun Gong event that takes place in Europe annually. She learned about the practice while visiting a friend in Africa. Seeing the benefits her friend enjoyed, she began too in 2005.
She was also concerned that if the persecution of Falun Gong in China continued, the negative impact would expand to the world.

“I hope that the march helps more people discover the beauty of the practice and learn about the brutal persecution in China,” said Mr. Zaccaro, an Italian who resides in Frankfurt, Germany. He has been a member of the European Divine Land Marching Band for two years and plays the trumpet.

“It is not a coincidence that so many people practice Falun Gong in Europe. About 100 million Chinese practised Falun Gong before the persecution started. This shows that the practice is good, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is afraid of people living the traditional values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” Zaccaro said.
Mr. Schlegel from Switzerland joined the march with his wife and two children. He has practised Falun Gong for 14 years and participates in the annual event in Europe each year.
He had found a Falun Gong flyer in his mailbox. He said he instantly realized, “This is what I have been looking for. This will enrich my life.”
Falun Gong has become his special connection to China and Chinese people. He said, “We are human beings, regardless of our race or skin colour. Innocent people are persecuted and even tortured to death – this is intolerable in any part of the world.”

Ms. Strecker from Germany played drum in the march. At 70 years old, she was full of energy throughout the event.

“China is a big country and has a lot of ties with other countries. The globe is one small village,” Ms. Strecker said that she follows what is happening in China and is compelled to speak out about the persecution of Falun Gong.
