Falun Gong practitioners were invited to demonstrate the exercises on the main stage twice. Many visitors from all over northern England showed great interest in the practice. They streamed to the Falun Gong booth to ask many questions, including ones about the benefits of the practice and the persecution in China.

Ms. Caroline Grant, one of the organizers of the festival, found it hard to believe that such a good practice is being persecuted in China.
She commented, "There is no freedom of belief in China." She once offered financial support to children from Tibet now living in India, so that they could practice their faith in another country.
Ms. Grant made another visit by the end of the event. She hugged practitioners and said that she hoped to help them in the future.

One of the exhibitors echoed Ms. Grant's feelings. Ms. Maggie Morris was shocked and found it hard to believe that for cultivating such a peaceful and wonderful practice, one could have had his/her organs harvested in China.
Ms. Morris learned about this heinous crime from a flyer that she received while visiting Sydney. The flyer exposed the Chinese Communist regime's crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Many visitors also inquired about practice sites and expressed a desire to learn Falun Gong.
