France: Collecting Signatures In Front of the Eiffel Tower

Falun Gong practitioners in Paris held an activity on June 15, 2014, at Trocadero Square, in front of the Eiffel Tower, exposing the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, and collecting petition signatures calling for an end to the persecution.

People sign petition condemning the persecution of Falun Gong

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, and set up display boards showing the facts of the persecution. Many people signed the petition, expressing their support of Falun Gong and ending the persecution.

Three high school students were attracted to the exercises. They watched the demonstration for a long time, then asked to take photos with practitioners in front of a banner that read, “Falun Dafa is Good.”

Sidnei Fias, a lawyer from Brazil, was travelling in Paris with his parents. He had not heard about Falun Gong, nor the persecution. A practitioner talked to him for a long time. Fias was shocked when he learned that more than 3,700 people had been tortured to death due to their belief in Falun Gong, and that many were killed for their organs.

Fias told practitioners that he would write a report on what he learned, and tell all the facts to his family and friends back home. He encouraged practitioners to keep up their efforts to end the persecution.

After signing on the petition, he translated practitioners' words for his parents. They also signed their names.
