Practitioners’ Reflections on the Indictment Against Jiang

At 11:30am, 18th March 2003, several hundred Falun Gong practitioners were sitting peacefully on the square in front of Palace Des Nations when it was announced that a lawsuit against Jiang had been filed by Falun Dafa Associations to the International Criminal Court. Several practitioners were asked by a reporter to express their thoughts and reactions to this news.

Zhengzi, is a Japanese practitioner from Tokyo. Yesterday, walking with two sticks, with difficulty, she finished the 2 hour-long parade through Geneva. When the reporter asked this old lady who was nearly 60 years old to talk about her feelings about the news, she immediately was in tears and said: “I feel right will wins over evil. This is the will of Heaven, because he (Jiang) has done most evil. If you see those pictures of evidence [of the persecution], you will know how brutal the persecution is. If he were not on trial, there would never be justice in the world”.

Huahe Wang and Xianghe Wang, who are Chinese sisters living in The Netherlands, were appealing for China to release their older brother Mr. Yuanhe Wang. Huahe Wang said: “When I was listening to this news, I felt that my breathing seemed to stop, simply because I was very happy. Jiang xx should be the only person who is [held] responsible for the 4 years’ persecution”.

Huahe Wang said: “The Dictator will come to no good. The persecution of Falun Gong is not only persecuting the Chinese people, but also persecuting all human beings in the world. Taking Jiang Zemin to court is allowing justice to prevail...Lies are just lies, and will one day eventually be completely exposed. This issue tells us that the people of the world have gradually become clear-headed”.

A young Belgian practitioner said: “Jiang is not only persecuting Falun Gong, but also opposing “Truth, Compassion and Tolerance’, and we all already know that ‘Truth, Compassion and Tolerance’ represents the best things”.

Hanna, 43 years old, is from Poland. When reporter asked her to talk about her feeling, she said: “Almost immediately when I heard this news, I was in tears. I was touched by it deeply. That kind of feeling was neither joy nor delight, but something beyond description”. This lawsuit shows that Falun Gong has been recognised by the international society, and people have the right to know the true situation of Falun Gong...This is only a beginning, perhaps we have a stretch of road to go, but we have seen the dawn”.

“At that moment I also recalled those people who are working for Jiang’s wrong policy. It’s time to think about this issue with a clear mind. This is an opportunity for them to wake up to and avoid danger at the last moment, and not do things offensive to God(s) and reason”.

During the interview a practitioner from Canada, who was standing nearby, could not help expressing her feeling to the reporter. She said: “Do you know the reason that I settled down in Canada? It was not only because it is a beautiful country, but also because the Canadian government likes to stand on the side of justice. In fact, any country or government should stand on the right side and allow justice to prevail for kind-hearted people”.
