Practitioner Exhibits Schizophrenia-Like Symptoms, Likely Due to Poisoning in Brainwashing Centre

Chenzhou City resident Mr. Wang Wulian was taken to a brainwashing centre in September 2014 and held for more than 10 days. After he was released, he showed signs of schizophrenia and could not take care of himself.

There are many indications that officials at the brainwashing centre put poison Mr. Wang's food.

Abducted

Mr. Wang is employed in the supply department of Jiedong Mining Company in the Suxian District in Chenzhou City. Manager Wang Xuxiang told him to go to a conference at 8:00 a.m. on September 12th, 2014.

On the day of the conference, Mr. Wang was shoved into a car and taken to a “legal class” in the Beihu District Party School by Security Department head Feng Jun, deputy head Chen Xiaolong, who also works for the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), and driver Ma Zhiyong.

Mr. Wang tried to explain the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to his abductors and said that the “legal class” was actually a brainwashing centre where many Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured—some even to death.

Strange Meal

Mr. Wang refused to cooperate with the 610 Office personnel at the brainwashing centre. He was handcuffed to the window frame for about six hours on September 12th for doing the Falun Gong exercises.

On the morning of September 28th, an assistant assigned to deliver Mr. Wang's meals brought him his food but did not eat with him. The assistant had eaten every meal with Mr. Wang since he arrived at the brainwashing centre, but that day, Mr. Wang ate alone. After dinner, Mr. Wang had a severe headache and felt unwell. He also felt uncharacteristically anxious.

Mr. Wang did not have an appetite for the next two days, and he became more and more agitated. Chen Xiaolong and two more people from his company threatened to beat him and then tricked him into signing the three statements renouncing Falun Gong while his mind was muddled.

Officers from the domestic security team escorted Mr. Wang home on September 30th, 2014 and searched his apartment for “evidence.”

At that point, Mr. Wang had lost the ability to care for himself alone. He needed assistance to walk, had memory loss, and was often scared and agitated. His head was in so much pain that he could not get to sleep until the early morning hours. He also showed symptoms of schizophrenia.

Mr. Wang still has headaches and weakness in his limbs.
