Falun Gong practitioners in the U.K. celebrated World Falun Dafa Day, which marks the anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Gong and the birthday of its founder, Master Li Hongzhi. World Falun Dafa Day is on May 13th every year.
British practitioners held a rally and a press conference in London on the morning of May 7, and a parade and an art performance in the afternoon.
Their activities aimed to introduce the benefits of Falun Gong to the public and raise awareness of the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party.

Those who spoke at the press conference included Dr. Liu of Falun Dafa UK, renowned Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas, and Ms. Song, a Falun Gong practitioner who had personally been persecuted in China.
The activities received great support from the public. Many condemned the persecution and expressed their support for practitioners.
