May 13, 2020 is the 21st World Falun Dafa Day and the 28th anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa. It's also the birthday of the practice's founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. To mark these special occasions, every year Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners hold celebratory activities across the world.
Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day in Finland
Practitioners in Finland did the exercises and distributed fliers near a shopping centre in downtown Helsinki on May 13. They told passers-by about Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there were much fewer people in the shopping centre and the square. Passers-by paused to watch the exercise demonstration, and some learned the exercises on the spot.
A Russian woman living in Finland took photos and videos with her cell phone. She said she reported local news in the Russian community. While taking video of the flier, she said in Russian, “This is Falun Dafa. It is practised in over 100 countries.”
She talked with the practitioners and said that she knew very well the evil nature of the communist party as Russia was under communist control for decades.
Thomas signed the petition against the persecution. He said his friend had learned Falun Dafa and told him it was great.
