Sweden: Locals Touched by Practitioners Clarifying the Truth in the Snow

Security guards near Parliament House in Stockholm greeted Falun Gong practitioners parking their cars loaded with truth clarification materials. “Hello! Welcome!” one of them said. “You are always welcome here!”

After several days of snow, the entire city was covered with a thick blanket on January 29, 2021. The security guards helped practitioners clear away some of the snow and then helped them set up a booth and display boards.

Practitioners regularly publicize the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, rain or shine, and more and more people in Stockholm are expressing their support for Falun Gong. The security guards said they admire practitioners for their peacefulness, rationality, and tenaciousness.

One of them told a practitioner, “You are always so peaceful! Truly admirable! I have searched for information online. The persecution is so cruel and sad! I’d be happy to help you! Feel free to let me know if there is anything I can do for you.”

Despite the cold, many passersby stopped to talk to practitioners and sign a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Felicia, a local resident who works in the media, and four of her friends signed the petition after hearing about the persecution. “The CCP is demonic,” Felicia said. “It persecutes good people. I hope it will disappear from the earth!”

A man parked his car and came straight over to sign the petition. A practitioner asked him if he knew the true story about Falun Gong. The man replied, “Your presence here is the true story. I wish I had signed it before! We should work together to stop the CCP.”

Local residents Sofia and her husband talked with practitioners for a long time. Both of them showed great interest in energy exercises. Sofia said she was touched by the meditation in the snow. “It's so cold to sit here, but you look so calm and peaceful! The practice is beautiful! I enjoyed watching the meditation, and we would like to try it, too.” Her husband gave a practitioner a thumbs up and said, “Thank you so much! You are great! It’s very meaningful! We’re interested!”

“Ah! Falun Gong! I’m connected with Falun Gong again,” said a woman who couldn’t hide her happy surprise. She told a practitioner that she had practiced Falun Gong in Iran 15 years ago but had stopped for various reasons. She then immigrated to Sweden and had almost forgotten about it.

“The moment I saw you today, my memory from 15 years ago poured into my mind. I remember everything. I know Falun Gong is great. I would like to continue. Thank you for coming here,” she said as tears welled up in her eyes.

Lisa, an immigrant from China, said one of her relatives practices Falun Gong. She signed the petition and told a practitioner, “Many media outlets are spreading false information, but Falun Gong practitioners’ media dares to speak the truth. You are helping people see how evil the CCP is. You are great!”
