Dafa practitioners held an event at Roman Square in Bucharest on February 3, 2024 to tell people about Falun Dafa and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the spiritual discipline.
They set up an information booth, displayed banners, demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, and distributed truth-clarification materials and calendars with information about Dafa. People of all ages stopped and chatted with practitioners. Some said they admired the practitioners’ dedication to promoting beneficial values to society despite the CCP’s persecution.
High School Students Praise Falun Dafa’s Principles
Four high school students accepted informational materials about the practice. They listened with interest to the fact that people who believe in morality are persecuted in communist China. One of the students, Luca said he agreed with the principle of Compassion and that he has been trying hard to do good deeds.
Robert said, “Falun Dafa’s principles are beautiful.”
Four students from the University of Bucharest talked with practitioners and accepted truth-clarification materials. They commended practitioners for persisting in telling people about the persecution and following Falun Dafa’s principles, Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.
One of the students said, “It is very hard to persist in these values in society nowadays. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are not respected enough in society. Thank you for telling me about Falun Dafa.”
Patrick, one of the four students said, “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance should be practiced by everyone.”
Nicoleta, 21 years old, urged practitioners to “continue and believe in moral values and resist the persecution in their actions.”
Two students who were walking hurriedly stopped to learn about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. They thanked practitioners for the information and wished them the best of luck.
Interested in Learning the Practice
Mara and Ana Maria praised Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Mara asked how long Falun Dafa has been practiced in Romania and said she’s recently been thinking about meditating.
When she learned that one’s morals are improved by practicing Falun Dafa, she said, “You can see from the attitude of practitioners that combining the exercises with practicing the moral code is beneficial to people.”
She also asked about the practice site in Bucharest and said she lives in a town not far from the capital. She said she’s very interested in learning the exercises, and hopes to see the practitioners again at the practice site.
“More people should know about this persecution.”
Florica, 70 years old, was shocked to hear that Falun Dafa practitioners in China are murdered and their organs are harvested by the CCP.
Of practitioners, she said, “They believe in moral values similar to mine. I think more people should know about the CCP’s persecution. I would stop these crimes if I had the power. I can only make this persecution known to other people,” she said. She took some truth-clarification materials and lotus flowers to give to friends in the building she lives in.
Parents Agree With the Principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Amalia and her mother wanted to learn about Falun Dafa. When she heard that the guiding principles of the practice are Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, Amalia’s mother said, “How nice!” and explained the importance of practicing them to her daughter.
When a practitioner gave Amalia a lotus flower, she wanted to know what it symbolized. The practitioner told her and her mother about cultivating oneself and explained that because the lotus flower grows out of the mud but blooms beautiful and untainted, it is a symbol of cultivation. She said that human beings can also overcome challenges in life to become better people. Amalia and her mother said they were touched by the lotus flower story and how the principles of truth, kindness, and self-control as featured in Falun Dafa can be put into practice.
Ivana, six years old, and her mother praised Falun Dafa’s principles. Ivana said she wants to behave in a way that inspires other children.
