On 20 September 2026, nearly 1,600 Falun Gong practitioners from 31 European countries attended the European Fa Conference at the Top Hotel Praha in the Czech capital, Prague. Simultaneous interpretation was provided in 13 languages. 21 Falun Gong practitioners from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom shared their insights and experiences regarding their cultivation experiences.

The cultivation way of a young practitioner from Slovakia
Barborka, a young practitioner from Slovakia, grew up in a Falun Dafa environment, with several members of her family practising the discipline. As a child, she did not truly understand cultivation nor was she diligent in her practice, but she always knew that Falun Dafa was good. She said that the Master had never given up on her, but had always waited for her to awaken with boundless patience and compassion, constantly guiding and watching over her. And so, Barborka found her way back to the path of cultivation.
Through studying the Fa and cultivating her heart, Barborka gradually let go of the resentment she had harboured towards her stepfather since childhood. Because her stepfather treated her mother poorly, she had always harboured resentment towards him; yet the more she resented him, the worse the situation at home became. Through studying the Fa, she realised that the reason she hated her stepfather was because her attachment to her mother was too strong, and she also harboured self-interest. When she began to regard herself as a cultivator and viewed her stepfather as a suffering being, changing her attitude and perspective towards him, the situation at home improved accordingly. Her stepfather began to support her cultivation and her participation in the Heavenly Band; later, he even joined the family in studying “Zhuan Falun” and practising the exercises, whilst also striving to become a better person.
Barbora also shared her experiences of joining the European Tianguo Marching Band. As all the instruments she favoured were already taken, she ultimately had no choice but to choose the French horn, an instrument with which she was unfamiliar. When she first saw the French horn, she felt very reluctant; upon learning that it was one of the most difficult wind instruments to play and that it would take several years to master, she even felt like crying, thinking that nothing was going according to her expectations and that she was destined to fail.
During this time, the support and encouragement from other musicians in the Heavenly Band proved a great help to her. She gradually came to realise that this entire journey had been arranged by the Master, and that nothing was by chance. At Christmas, when she finally held the French horn in her hands, she could not help but shed tears of emotion. She felt a strong connection with the being behind this instrument, which would help her in her cultivation and also assist her in saving sentient beings.
Through persistent effort, just six months later, Barbora became a full member of the Band.
The journey of recognising the fundamental attachment
Ms Tang from Germany shared her journey over the past few months in identifying her fundamental attachment. She began practising Falun Gong in 1996 but only recently realised that, for many years, she had failed to truly identify her fundamental attachment.
Ms Tang had suffered from a serious illness since childhood and had always been dependent on medication. Two weeks after beginning to practise Falun Gong, her symptoms vanished without a trace, and she attained a state of health and lightness free from illness. When the Master published the Jingwen “Towards Consummation”, she believed that her fundamental attachment no longer existed, as she had originally taken up the practice to cure her illness, and since her illness had healed so quickly, she naturally no longer clung to the idea of curing it.
Her husband, a German national, suffered from ‘motor neurone disease’, for which there was no cure. Seeing his wife’s health miraculously improve after just two weeks of practising Falun Gong, he—who had previously been sceptical of qigong—began to learn the exercises himself and read *Zhuan Falun* after work. After some time, his health improved markedly, and he too stopped taking medication.
However, as time went on, whilst Ms Tang’s health remained excellent, her husband’s health deteriorated year on year, and he passed away in 2016. Ms Tang was plunged into deep grief from which she could not extricate herself for a long time, and she remained unable to understand exactly what shortcomings she had in her cultivation practice.
Later, inspired by fellow practitioners, the study group to which Ms Tang belonged began to focus on identifying fundamental attachments. One by one, the fellow practitioners identified their own fundamental attachments and shared their insights sincerely. Through this process, Ms Tang gradually realised that her original intention of taking up Dafa to cure her illness had not truly been eliminated; it had merely transformed into an attachment to the belief that Dafa could cure her husband’s illness.
Upon realising this, she read again Master’s lectures delivered in various places and discovered that Master had repeatedly reminded disciples to eliminate fundamental attachments, yet she herself had failed to truly recognise this for so many years.
On 8 June 2026 the Minghui Editorial Board published a “Notice” recommending that Dafa disciples who truly cultivate to memorize Master's scripture “Towards Consummation”. Ms Tang gained a deeper understanding of the importance of this scripture and realised that only by eliminating fundamental attachments could she thoroughly reject the arrangements of the old forces and walk the path arranged by the Master.
The Importance of Studying the Fa
Tomek, from Poland, is a major shareholder in a company and also undertakes a great deal of coordination work for Dafa projects in Poland, leaving him with almost no time to study the Fa. He would always think, “I will catch up once this project is finished.” As a result, the more projects he took on, the harder it became to find time to study the Fa. Whenever he picked up “Zhuan Falun” to begin studying, he would immediately remember some important matter that remained unresolved, so he would stop studying and go to deal with those matters.
By the end of 2024, Tomek had reached his limit with the workload and was barely able to study the Fa. He subsequently informed the relevant personnel of his situation and convened a meeting of Polish coordinators, where he spoke frankly with everyone about his circumstances. He spoke of two possible outcomes: one was that the old forces were weeding him out of the ranks of cultivators, and he would soon be unable to continue; the other was that now was precisely the time for other fellow practitioners to step up and take on responsibility, as the workload was simply too much for any one person to bear.
The fellow practitioners were very supportive and began to distribute and take on tasks amongst themselves. The more the burden was lifted from his shoulders, the more assured his study of the Fa became. The real breakthrough came several months later during a four-day national Fa-study session in Poland. Tomek felt that both his body and mind had been purified. He looked inward to examine his own attachments and realised that, over the years, he had harboured an attachment to wanting to handle and coordinate every project himself; he doubted that fellow practitioners could do these things as well as he could, and even worried that they might do them better than him. These thoughts were all linked to his jealousy.
When Tomek recognised this jealousy within himself, he felt deeply ashamed; it was only after he had nearly stumbled in his cultivation that he had uncovered this deeply hidden jealousy. Recognising this attachment was the first step towards eliminating it. Since then, I have constantly been mindful of my thoughts, and whenever I detect such thoughts, I am able to dispel them swiftly.
A former young disciple has grown into an active Dafa practitioner
Vanessa is a young Dafa practitioner who has practised alongside her mother since childhood. Due to the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Dafa, they were forced to move to London. Whilst at secondary school, she was exposed to the ordinary people’s internet every day, which filled her mind with many negative influences and notions, causing her academic performance to decline. Under the Master’s compassionate guidance, she began to persevere in studying the Fa, practising the exercises and cultivating her character every day, as well as doing more practice questions and exam papers. Gradually, she found that her memory was improving, whilst her efficiency and concentration were increasing; naturally, her academic performance improved as a result. Having once struggled with English and performed poorly academically, she achieved top marks in every subject in her secondary school entrance examinations.
Once she had committed herself to genuine cultivation of Dafa and focused on her studies themselves rather than chasing illusory fame and fortune, she achieved outstanding results in the university entrance examinations. One of her EPQ projects was a documentary. She had filmed herself to reveal the truth. Drawing on her own personal experiences and those of young fellow practitioners around her, she recounted the CCP’s brutal persecution of young practitioners. She showed this documentary to her teachers and friends, and they were all deeply moved. She also posted the documentary on a professional social networking platform, where a viewer contacted her to say that she had been so deeply moved after watching it that she wept uncontrollably.
Through Master’s compassionate arrangement, she was admitted to one of the world’s top universities after graduating from secondary school. During her time at university, she undertook several internships in investment banking and quantitative trading; after graduating, through Master’s compassionate arrangement, she got a job as an investment analyst.
She shared: “I discovered that once I stopped chasing fame and gain, the suffering of never being satisfied dissolved along with it. Desire is a bottomless pit. The pursuit of empty fame and fleeting profit can never bring true satisfaction—it only draws one in ever deeper. Lost in the pursuit of fame and gain, one forgets the true purpose of coming to this world. Using a Chinese idiom, it’s like flowers in a mirror or the reflection of the moon in water—it all comes to nothing. How sad is this!? After I realized how important cultivation is to one's life and gave up these attachments, simply concentrating on doing the proper work a student should do, I gained many unexpected opportunities and results. But at these times I was not excited; instead, I was very calm because they are all Master’s arrangements and encouragements.”
The exchanges at the Fa conference left a deep impression on many of the attending practitioners. Some practitioners said that the insights shared by fellow practitioners had been of great help to them; many others were moved to tears whilst listening to the speeches and, by comparing their own cultivation state, recognised the gaps in their own practice.
