Emphasis on Concurrently Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts Worldwide

Master said in the Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A. “As you know, the persecution that Dafa disciples in Mainland China suffer is quite severe, so each student has to truly, clearly realize what his responsibility is, and when he sends forth righteous thoughts he has to be able to truly calm his mind and truly produce the effect of righteous thoughts. So this is something extremely critical, extremely important. Then if every student is able to do that, I can tell you, with five minutes of sending forth righteous thoughts together, the evil in the Three Realms will never exist again--that's how important this is.”

In my opinion, the forces of the rampant evil seem to be increasing rather than decreasing in today’s Fa-rectification. It’s high time for us to recognise once again our responsibility, to truly take our responsibility. It’s obvious that either not all of us fellow practitioners worldwide send forth righteous thoughts [using upright thoughts to purify oneself and one’s surroundings] four times a day plus the other times Sunday at 5, 6, and 7 o’clock Beijing time, or they participate in sending forth righteous thoughts but they do not calm down or concentrate seriously. Otherwise, the evils would not be so rampant as today. Recently I always send forth righteous thoughts at 11 o’clock every evening (East coast time in the States) before I go to bed. I set the alarm so that I wake up at five in the morning to send forth righteous thoughts. Then I remind myself that I must not forget to send righteous thoughts at 11 in the morning and 5 in the evening. But even so I usually miss sending righteous thoughts once or twice, especially the one at 5 in the morning. On average, I send forth righteous thoughts three out of four times every day - I either forget or miss out once. I usually thought that I already did my best and I possibly did a good job and that maybe it’s the problems of other practitioners. I thought - Some time or other, after other practitioners slowly catch up and when ten million practitioners worldwide send righteous thoughts concurrently, the evil will be eradicated so the period in which the Fa rectifies the human world will come.

For the past few days, I felt it more and more likely that the problem actually resided in myself - that I had not started to do it myself. I tried to do a calculation, based on what I had done in sending righteous thoughts 3 out of 4 times a day. If there exist 100 million practitioners worldwide like me, what is the possibility of practitioners as a whole sending forth righteous thoughts all at the same time? The answer is almost zero. As a matter of fact, my calculator stops displaying any further digits after 127 decimal points. I tried to do the same calculation again for the scenario of 50 million practitioners and I got the same result. What about 5,000 practitioners? It’s still the same, 127 zeros. There are about 100 practitioners in the city where I live. Then if it is calculated for the scenario that those 100 practitioners send forth righteous thoughts for 3 out of the 4 times each day, then what is the probability of these practitioners in the city as a whole sending righteous thoughts concurrently at any one of the set times? It is 0.00000000000032. That is to say, If there are 4 times to send out righteous thoughts per day, 30 times a week, 120 times a month, 1440 times a year, then statistically speaking, these 100 practitioners sending forth righteous thoughts concurrently will only happen once every 2.1 billion years.

We should bear our responsibility. From today onward, from now on, we should start from ourselves, start from each time to send forth righteous thoughts worldwide. Besides, endowed with the tremendous benevolence of the Buddha Fa, I think we should start from each hour sharp, from each moment we can take advantage of the opportunity to send forth the purest righteous thoughts at all times.
