Mr Xu Xijun, age 29, was a young man who lived in Dunhua City, Jilin Province. He worked in Changchun City, Jilin Province. In October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. After he returned, he was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labour by officials at the Hongqijie Police Station in Changchun City. He was detained at Fenjin Labour Camp and Chaoyanggou Labour Camp successively. While in detention, because he firmly cultivated Dafa, he was subjected to both mental and physical torture. As a result, he could not eat, and an x-ray examination showed there was a shadow in his lungs. Not wanting to take responsibility should he die in the labour camp, the camp released him on medical parole in October 2001. However, the camp kept harassing him while he was home recovering. Not being able to recover, Mr. Xu passed away in May 2002.
