Join the Grand Global Trial from the Heart (UK Fa Conference 2003)

Hello Master, hello fellow practitioners:

Filing the lawsuit against the evil head symbolizes that the process of Fa-Rectification has reached an important historical point. It is an essential step to eliminate the evil thoroughly and completely. It is also an unavoidable trend in Fa-Rectification. Recently there was an article on the Clearwisdom website saying that the legal process of suing Jiang needs more time spent on it and that overseas Falun Gong practitioners need to do more in clarifying the truth in this area.

How to assist Master, how to keep up with the pace of Fa-Rectification and how to bring Jiang Zemin to justice in the Court of morality, in the court of conscience and in the court of law is a question every practitioner should think about at the moment. Here are some of my own understandings.

1. Understand the Profound Meaning of the Grand Global Trial

The purpose of suing Jiang is to save more sentient beings and to clarify the truth more thoroughly. It is an important step in the process of Fa-Rectification, because it is related to reducing the losses incurred by the evil forces’ persecution of Dafa and Dafa disciples. It is a matter of saving more sentient beings before the force of Fa-Rectification reaches the human world. Therefore it is every practitioner’s concern and needs all practitioners’ cooperation and coordination. This requires every practitioner to take the global grand trial seriously from our heart and regard it as the most powerful way of clarifying the truth and assisting Master in rectifying the Fa. Only when our hearts have reached this standard, can we form a harmonious and solid, diamond-like one body and display our purest and strongest power.

Suing Jiang is not only restricted to the court of law. There is also the court of conscience and morality. As a Dafa disciple, the real meaning of suing Jiang lies in how to clarify the truth more thoroughly and systematically, how to awaken more people and how to save more sentient beings.

2. Suing Jiang is a Process of Self-cultivation

In the Fa-Rectification, everything we do is a process of cultivation. In this process, how to upgrade ourselves is of the utmost importance, because in this process, our own attachments will constantly show up. If there is an attachment, we need to cultivate it away, which is the fundamental and basic principle for a cultivator. When an attachment shows up, whether we can face it with righteous thoughts and measure it with Fa principles is the crucial point.

Just before I got involved with the suing Jiang project, I read an article on the Clearwisdom website about an American practitioner’s relative in China, who was arrested because the practitioner in America was involved in the lawsuit against Jiang. A few days later, I was asked to join this project. A thought flashed through my mind: if I take the lead in suing Jiang here, would my family members in China be affected? But, I immediately realized that this thought was selfish. A great, enlightened being exists for the sentient beings of the universe. One can give up the small family in this world for the big family of sentient beings. Actually, doing something for the big family is of course doing something for the small family. I felt ashamed of that selfish thought that passed through my mind. When you recognise the attachment, it is time to abandon it. With righteous thoughts and righteous action, leave no space for the evil.

After this short expereince, another practitioner told me that I should be fully aware of the serious persecution and pressure I would get from the evil if I get involved in suing Jiang. I was also told about a practitioner in another country who was involved in the preparations to sue Jiang. All of a sudden, her husband had an affair and divorced her and she also lost her job. All of this happened only at the initial stage of the legal action. That practitioner could not endure the persecution and gave up. Upon hearing this, my heart remained calm. I thought no matter what happens, I must go through with it. I will not give up because of persecution and pressure.

A few days later, the school I worked for suddenly told me that next term they were scrapping the subject that I teach and my job would end in the middle of this July. When I heard the news, I was very calm, knowing the evil was trying to scare me off. I was not frightened, and started to send forth righteous thoughts. I thought, you evil that look down upon me, is this all you can do? I am not frightened. My heart will not be affected by you and I will not accept your evil arrangement.

Then, the following day, the head of my department told me that he was very upset with the school’s decision and it was wrong. He said he would have a word with them about it. I was very calm, and didn’t say anything except thanks. I continued to send forth righteous thoughts. Two days later, the head of my department told me that he had talked to the headmaster and they may change their decision, but it was not definite yet. Again I said nothing but thanks and continued sending forth righteous thoughts. Another 2 days passed. I was told that the school had changed their mind and decided to continue the subject, and I will still be teaching there next term.

The evil is actually like a paper tiger. It will back down if you go forward. “If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist” (“Eliminate Your last attachment(s)”). “However strong the righteous thoughts are, that’s how great the power is” (“Also in a Few Words”). In front of righteous thoughts, everything unrighteous will be dissolved. I am very grateful to Master for giving me this opportunity to rectify myself.

3. Genuinely Join the Grand Global Trial from the Heart

The lawsuit in Chicago has been going on for about ten months now. On the surface, it seems to be moving pretty slow. Actually, it’s waiting for practitioners all over the world to genuinely join the Grand Trial from their hearts. It is giving us time and opportunity to tell the truth to all governments and organizations more thoroughly. I feel that some practitioners do not understand the importance of suing Jiang and have not genuinely joined in the global grand trial. Instead, they are passively waiting for the news and outcome like they are just onlookers. Master said: “It's just like bringing that evil, head scoundrel to court this time, it requires everyone's cooperation, and you have voices echoing from all around the world” (“Teaching the Fa at 2003 Midwest-US Fa Conference”)

In the process of suing Jiang, has every practitioner truly joined the global grand trial from the heart and clarified the truth on this subject? If we have, the whole situation will make an enormous leap forward. Every practitioner is a plaintiff. Therefore, how to bring Jiang to justice in the court of conscience, in the court of morality and in the court of law is every practitioners’ concern.

4. Drive Open All Channels

As you know, the Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice was set up in July. This is an ordinary people’s organization, but practitioners are also members. The purpose of the coalition is to let as many ordinary people as possible know about bringing Jiang to justice and about the persecution. And also to let as many ordinary people as possible support suing Jiang. Any organization and any person can join the coalition and support this historic Grand Trial. This coalition is actually giving us a great opportunity to clarify the truth to all governments, organizations and individuals, to mobilize the whole society, and to drive open all channels.

Master has told us in “The Cosmic Orbit”, that the human body is a universe. “...when you add up all the energy channels in a person’s body there are over 10,000 of them…connect them….open them, and then....gradually widen them, and that slowly forms a straight energy channel”, “and finally, at some point, have tens of thousands of energy channels merge together, achieving a state of no energy channels and no acupuncture points, with your entire body connected into a whole. That’s the ultimate goal of opening the energy channels” (Zhuan Falun).

The inner circulation is the coordination between practitioners forming a harmonious and one body with no gaps and forming a straight energy channel. The outer circulation is connecting all kind people together into a whole. This is what the global coalition is doing. But, this outer circulation needs all practitioners to take part, to drive open all the channels. All the channels will be turning around us and together we will send Jiang to the Court of Morality, Conscience and Law. This is the relationship between host and guest. We do not seek outside ourselves. We do not rely on ordinary people to stop the persecution. It is practitioners who are the driving force and it is us who are opening the energy channels. This is the practitioners’ noble responsibility in this historic grand trial.
