Belated News: Terminal Disease Cured After Dafa Practice, Murdered by Torture
Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Li was from Lishu County, Jilin Province. After she began to practise Dafa, her terminal illness was cured. After Jiang Zemin's insane persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, she went to Beijing numerous times to appeal and clarified the truth to people. Police officers from Fangshan District in Beijing abducted her on July 4, 2001. Late in 2001 she was illegally sentenced to seven years in prison and was incarcerated at Fangshan Prison. She passed away in the Beijing Police Hospital on February 1, 2002. The following are details of the case:
Ms. Li Li was 35 years old and had worked as a cashier at Lishu County's Road Construction Segment in Jilin Province. In 1991 she was diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumour and in 1992 underwent major surgery. She recovered afterwards but soon suffered a relapse. She had a second surgery in 1993. Another relapse came in 1994 and her condition worsened. Her family was heavily burdened, financially and emotionally. As she was about to give up, she obtained Dafa. After she began Dafa practice, she lived her life strictly according to the Dafa teachings. At first it took her almost two hours walking to a Falun Gong study site that is only 0.6 mile from her home, but she never stopped going. She suffered from whole body oedema, a result of the brain tumour, the surgeries and treatments. The skin on her legs had ulcerated and seeped fluid, but she persisted in the fifth sitting meditation exercise after applying gauze on her legs. She practised diligently according to Dafa's requirements and had completely recovered in early 1998. One of her classmates witnessed her miraculous recovery and because of this, she also stepped on the path of Dafa practice.
After she had recovered, Li Li actively spread Dafa, relating her own experience and her understanding of Dafa. She helped many farmers and laid-off workers to start Dafa practice and they got rid of their illnesses, too.
After Jiang's group began persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, Li Li went to the Appeals Office in Beijing to tell the truth about Dafa, but she was illegally arrested and was transferred to her hometown where she was detained for two months. In February 2000, she was again unlawfully arrested and held at a detention centre, where she persisted in Dafa practice and validated Dafa with her own experience. One month later, she was unconditionally released.
In November 2000, Li Li was again illegally abducted from home. Because she persisted in Dafa practice, she was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labour. With her family's help, she was allowed out on parole for medical treatment. On January 10, 2001, the second day of her release, she again went to Beijing to validate Dafa. After she was arrested once more, she fortunately broke free from detention.
On July 4, 2001, she was arrested yet again in Fangshan District. She insisted that she was innocent and held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. In late 2001, she was unjustly sentenced to seven years in prison and was incarcerated at Fangshan Prison. On February 1, 2002, she was tortured to death at Beijing Police Hospital.
