Recently Falun Gong practitioners from Gothenburg, Trollhättan, Varberg and Uddevalla held an activity in Uddevalla to inform the public about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Uddevala is a small city near Gothenburg, and although it was a December day, the weather was very good and practitioners’ exercise demonstration looked very peaceful and beautiful in the sunshine.
When the founder of Falun Gong Li Hongzhi held a seven day lecture course in Gothenburg in the spring of 1995, he also held an introduction course in Uddevalla on one of the evenings.
At the time of the activities, there were a lot of people doing their Christmas shopping so many Falun Gong practitioners walked around the city centre to distribute leaflets about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Practitioners also collected petition signatures. Many people showed an interest in the activities and practitioners distributed a lot of information.
