After the 4 days' activities in London and Paris, 121 practitioners from Taiwan and 9 from France went to Luxembourg to reveal the truth of Falun Gong to the local people. "Le Republicain Lorrain" is a highly read local paper, and covers the whole Eastern France. Below is the report by a journalist.

Yesterday over 100 members of the Falun Gong meditation’s group gathered in Luxembourg’s streets, protesting against the persecution of the group by the Chinese Regime .

Falun Gong also called Falun Dafa, is a very ancient practice of the Buddha School passed in the past from master to a single disciple. It was not until 1992 that the practice was made public by Mr Li Hongzhi. The philosophy of the practice emphasizes on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forebearance. At first officially recognised by the Chinese government, the practice is labelled an evil cult by Jiang Zemin, the Chinese leader, in 1999. He brutally cracks down on the movement and launches a bloody persecution towards its members. In order to achieve so, a special 610 Office is set up and run by a chief figure Luo Gan. This very official organ of Chinese power recieves Jiang’s instructions to suppress the practice : Sabotage their reputations. Cut out their financial supplies, Eliminate Falun Gong practioners physically. Even since the 610 Office was set up, at least 50,000 practitioners have been arrested, a few thousands lost jobs and over 10,000 were sent to labour camps without trials. In such labour camps the innocent Falun Gong practitioners are subject to all sorts of tortures, both mentally and physically. Until October 2001, over 290 practitioners were tortured to death. There is also a 29 year old university student from Dublin, Zhao Ming, who has been held in a detention centre for almost two years without any legal procedures.

Regarding China, a country which is going to hold the 2008 Olympic Games, the persecution cases are serious human rights abuses.
