We should Systematically and Deeply Clarify the Facts in Geneva

There was a discussion amongst German practitioners on whether we should go to Geneva and why we should go. Some disciples said: We went there on so many occasions, the people there already know the truth, so there is no need for us to go any more. I think there is a question we need to think about here, how should we clarify the truth?

The persecution has lasted nearly 5 years and indeed we have continued to clarify the truth. Although we have clarified the truth in Geneva many times, every year is different. Our understanding of the persecution has also deepened bit by bit along with the understanding of Master’s Fa lectures and tempering ourselves through practice. Thus the message we pass on to ordinary people should also be different every year.

In the beginning, we gathered specific examples and exposed them to international society, our appeal was to “stop persecuting Falun Gong” and the target of our appeal was the Chinese Government. Subsequently, we made known that it was individuals amongst the Chinese government who were using their power to persecute kind people through specific cases and exposed the state terrorist nature of this persecution. Besides, we clearly pointed out that “every injustice has its perpetrator, every debt has its debtor,” directly pinpointing at the main culprits of the persecution. This is already elevating from individual cases to a systematic analysis of this persecution. For nearly two years, we took the step from simply making appeals to taking the initiative. The prime culprits and the main assistants in the persecution of Falun Gong are already being prosecuted in many countries with charges of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity. “International investigations”, “Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice” and other non-governmental organizations were set up as demanded by the situation. In the past few months, we even appealed to various countries to forbid officials responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong to enter their countries. Governments in certain countries have had a positive response.

For Dafa disciples, this means that Fa rectification has come to this stage. But to ordinary people, it shows that our actions against this persecution are deepening step by step and are even more effective. Telling ordinary people about these developments is also an important part of clarifying the truth. This gradually deepens their understanding of the persecution and helps them understand the great compassion and forbearance of Dafa disciples. Naturally, they will be able to position themselves.

Here’s an example: a German human rights organization was very supportive of us. From the beginning a few years ago, they made appeals for Falun Gong mainly from the perspective of human rights. In the process of working together with them, we gave them nearly all the information we had. Gradually they were able to see the crux of this persecution. At the same time, through working with different practitioners, they saw that in spite of the brutal persecution, there were still so many people, especially China practitioners with countless ties to China, fighting for human rights peacefully unafraid of a government that is capable of using any means to succeed in its crackdown. They truly admired the courage and magnanimity of practitioners. Consequently, they took more initiative in supporting and coordinating with the activities of practitioners. A staff even bought a copy of Zhuan Falun because he really wanted to know how practitioners could be so calm and fearless. Once he said on the phone, he salutes to Falun Gong practitioners. I told him, if I did not practise Falun Gong, I would also adopt a nonchalant and high and mighty attitude. But the principles of truth, compassion, forbearance have made me understand one lives not for oneself but to be responsible for compassion and justice in the world. He replied: “Salute to truth, compassion, forbearance”

Through this example, I would like to point out that there are many areas we can dig into in the extent and depth of clarifying the truth. Now the requirement of Fa rectification is not simply telling people the truth, it is to clarify the truth more deeply and meticulously in order to have the effect of saving sentient beings.

At the same time, there is a message we should pass on to ordinary people, that is the persecution is still continuing. When I tell the truth to other people, many people asked: “It’s already four years, is the persecution still going on?” If we don’t go to Geneva, or perhaps very few people went, ordinary people would subjectively think the persecution has ended or it has weakened, or Falun Gong practitioners cannot persist anymore.

Our existence in Places Des Nations is already communicating such a message: The persecution is still very brutal, but we have not succumbed to the evil. This information is also transmitted to the governments of many countries and non government organizations. Where else can we have such an opportunity?
