Scars remain on Wang Fusheng's back three years after he was tortured.
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Fusheng lives in Wutu Town, Changle County, Shandong Province. He used to be in very poor health and had extremely poor vision. Moreover, he lived a very hard life. Because of all these hardships, he even once had the thought of committing suicide. However, after he took up the practice of Falun Dafa, he benefited tremendously both physically and mentally. He finally saw a ray of hope in life.
During the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Wang was arrested numerous times, yet he never gave up his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."
In the spring of 2001, Mr. Wang was arrested by local law-enforcement agents. Under the direction of Ge Chuanyi, an officer of the town armed forces department, several people, including Liu Weisheng, Zhao Mingtao, Zhang Chuancheng and others, all tortured Mr. Wang for 24 days in the courtyard of the village government compound.
They took turns torturing him in an attempt to force him to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. They beat him with wooden sticks until he fell to the ground and both his legs became paralyzed. Even today, Mr. Wang's legs still have not completely recovered. The officials also beat his feet and toes. Moreover, they used their heavy leather boots to stomp on, grind, and twist his feet extremely hard. All of his toes became black and blue and bled profusely. His thumbnails also became detached because of the brutal torture. Seeing that he still did not give in, the perpetrators then used a lighter and cigarette butts to burn Mr. Wang's face and feet.
On March 15, Ge Chuanyi poured a bottle of boiling water down Mr. Wang's neck, severely burning his entire back and leaving a number of egg-sized blisters. The next day, Zhao Mingtao lifted off Mr. Wang's clothes and used a wooden stick to beat and pierce the blisters on his back. As a result, Mr. Wang's back became bloody and covered with pus.
Due to the torture, Mr. Wang's wounds became infected and he developed a continuous fever. Seeing that he was dying, they sent him to the Changle County Hospital. Even though he escaped death, Mr. Wang's legs remain paralyzed and he cannot take care of himself on his own.
