Some Thoughts about Clarifying the Truth to Various Governments During the Annual Meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission

Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in China, Dafa disciples around the world have gathered in Geneva for five years in a row to make peaceful appeals during the annual meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission. The purpose is to stop the persecution Falun Gong by Jiang’s regime. Fa-rectification has progressed to the final phase. Therefore, we should thoroughly exchange our understanding based on the Fa so that we can know how to truly treat the annual meeting of the Human Rights Commission from the standpoint of Fa-rectification.

There are fifty-three member states in the UN’s Human Rights Commission this year. Almost every country in the world has dispatched delegates. This requires Dafa disciples from various countries to coordinate and cooperate. While Dafa disciples in China try their best to send righteous thoughts to support the event, we overseas Dafa disciples should also pay special attention to it. Before the meeting began, the US congress had passed a resolution, requesting the US government to make a proposition at the meeting to denounce Jiang’s persecution against Falun Gong. Australian practitioners also made some efforts in this regard, trying to promote a similar resolution in the Australian parliament that would mandate the Australian government to denounce the persecution. Whether we can come to Geneva or not, Dafa disciples all have to strengthen the truth clarification in their respective countries and urge their government to condemn Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong. Dafa disciples around the world need to unify and truly recognise the importance within the Fa. Our mentality throughout the process will be very important. We shouldn’t hold the attitude of everyday people, relying on everyday people’s organisations to accomplish the task.

Ever since we initiated our activities in the UN, there have been various kinds of strong interference. Several Australian practitioners who had been directly persecuted in China missed a press conference at the UN because of a flight delay. German practitioners also missed a very important appointment. The number of practitioners that came to Geneva is less than in previous years. However, the opportunities become rarer as it moves towards the end. If we fail to pay sufficient attention to it as a whole body, or fail to grasp the opportunities for clarifying the truth comprehensively, wouldn’t it be a regret in our Fa-rectification?

The annual meeting of the Human Rights Commission has begun. There are still four weeks to go before the final vote. The time is sufficient for us to accomplish a joint upgrade of our understanding as a whole body based on the Fa, if we can make full use of these four weeks to exchange and share our understanding from the Fa about the importance of this event and its significance in Fa-rectification. It is hoped that Dafa disciples in every country can clarify the truth to their respective governments and involved organisations regarding the meeting of the Human Rights Commission, and clearly discuss our appeal: to denounce the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang’s group in China. Those Dafa practitioners who come to Geneva should look for opportunities to clarify the truth directly to the delegates attending the meeting. They should also send forth righteous thoughts to cleanse the environment in Geneva. With the support of righteous thoughts from Dafa practitioners throughout the world, the environment in Geneva will be filled. That will enable the eradication of the evil as far as possible, and allow the utilisation of the last opportunity to save immeasurable and boundless sentient beings.
