The small jail cell is like a cell inside a cell. It is an iron cage 150 centimeters long, 100 centimeters wide, and 150 centimeters high. Practitioners that are put into these cages are handcuffed to the top of the little doors and are left hanging, from morning until night. The longest time a practitioner was left hanging was for 18 days. The winters in Harbin have temperatures around minus 30 degrees Celsius (about --22 degrees Fahrenheit). During the winter the four walls of the cages are all icy. Because we were not allowed to contact our relatives, we didn't even have any padded cotton clothing to wear. The police did not let the practitioners in the little cells use pillows or sheets. At the same time, practitioners were forced to stand barefoot in the snow. Their windows would be intentionally opened so that they would be cold. The food that the practitioners ate every day was ice-cold. Practitioners were forced to stop eating before they were full; they were not allowed to drink water either. When the practitioners from the little cells came out, their legs and feet would be extremely swollen; their skin would be pink and dark-purple due to poor circulation, and they couldn't even walk. Under the circumstances of such persecution, many practitioners suffered from scabies over their entire bodies, which made their skin fester and ulcerate. Then when these were popped, there was a lot of pus. Some practitioners suffered from edema over their entire body and could not urinate when they went to the bathroom.
In May 2001, the Practitioners started a hunger strike to protest the persecution in the labor camp. Shi Changjing organized many police to begin force-feeding them. He commanded the policemen to handcuff the practitioners and bind them to chairs. Then he had 4 - 5 prisoners press down the practitioners' heads and hold their bodies. He directed the policemen to insert tubes into the nasal passageways and pump food in at the same time. The practitioners who had the pipes pumping food into their nasal passageways couldn't breathe or talk at all. Shi Changjing told the policemen to use all their strength to insert the tubes in even further. He also said that they didn't pump enough food, so some practitioners were repeatedly tortured by inserting pipes into their noses. Afterwards, the practitioners had various reactions such as bleeding from noses, spitting blood, and becoming comatose etc. The food-pumping method was extremely brutal. The ruffians killed Kong Deyi, a once healthy practitioner, through their brutal force feeding methods. They also force-fed Bi Zhihai until blood was pouring from his nose.
In July, the practitioners of the Changlinzi labor camp continued their group hunger strike. They requested an unconditional release of all the practitioners, and that Li Hongzhi's and Falun Dafa's reputation be restored. The longest hunger strike a practitioner undertook was for 91 days. To intimidate the practitioners on the hunger strike, the evil police arbitrarily framed Wang Hongbin as the so-called "organizer" of the hunger strike and reported him to the top authorities to arrest him.
The above was only a little bit about the brutal persecution of Practitioners in Changlinzi Labor Camp.
