Switzerland: A Lively Human Rights Education Lecture

Brugg High School held an activity entitled ‘Chinese Culture Week'. There was an exhibition of pictures by the painter Zhang Cuiying and teachers invited Ms.Dai Zhizhen to introduce the goodness of Falun Gong, with the story of her daughter Fadu illustrated by slides. Every student read one paragraph of Fadu’s story one after another, realising the fortune and benevolence brought into Fadu’s family through cultivation of Falun Gong. Nevertheless, Jiang’s wicked group brutally persecuted such a good practice of Falun Gong causing the death of Fadu’s father who stuck to his belief in Falun Gong and his determination in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.

Fadu was only eight months old when her father died, making a strong impact upon her young mother’s heart. The situation of Fadu is common in China; many children are without human rights or freedom of belief. If a student cultivates Falun Gong, he will be expelled from school, arrested and forcibly detained. The students were quite sympathetic towards Fadu, a suffering child. Some among them criticising the cruelty of Jiang’s group, and others among them even shedding tears. Students joined Fadu to make paper lotus flowers. They liked Falun Gong and were willing to donate paper lotus flowers for Chinese children in their appeal for an end to the persecution.

In the afternoon, the teachers arranged for the students to learn the Falun Gong exercises. Teachers, students and staff joyfully spread the facts of Falun Gong around the campus because Falun Gong impressed them deeply.
