After I was arrested for practising Falun Gong, I went on a hunger strike for one month to protest the illegal persecution, and later I was sent to a forced labour camp. However, the labour camp refused to accept me due to my poor physical condition as a result of the hunger strikes. Failing to put me into a forced labour camp, the national security department sent me to a hospital. In the hospital, they gave me an injection of some unknown drug. About twenty minutes later, my bones started aching. Meanwhile, I felt depressed and wanted to shout, but no sound came from my throat. I was in sheer agony, feeling as if I was being stabbed by needles and burned by fire all over my body. I seemingly had no control over my body, rolling around in spasms of misery.
Seeing my reaction, the national security personnel did not want to be responsible for my possible death. At around midnight, they had my family members pick me up.
On the way back home, my body was stiff and I was unconscious. The effects of the drug lasted several days without any sign of diminishing. I faded in and out of consciousness, and do not know how my family members were taking care of me. After almost twenty days, little red bumps appeared all over my body. The itching was unbearable, but if I scratched them, a searing pain would follow. After another ten days or so, the pain and itching began to subside. I did not fully recover until about three months after the initial injection.
