The Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace (Netherlands Branch) held a seminar on 27th of October at Alkmaar in the Netherlands. The main objective was to suggest to the United Nations how to support world peace, to raise human moral values and to oppose the evil acts. The Falun Gong practitioners in the Netherlands were warmly invited to the seminar.
Six practitioners attended the seminar. Present at the seminar were many ambassadors from different countries, the Vice-Chairman of the World Women’s Union [Netherlands Branch], representatives from religious organisations and other non-governmental organisations.
During the seminar, the Falun Gong practitioners brought up the persecution of Falun Gong in China by the Chinese authorities. We called on other attendees to urge the Chinese government to stop the persecution. Many people paid attention to our talk. During lunch break practitioners revealed the truth of the persecution in detail to people at the dining tables.
We were hoping that people would help the Falun Gong practitioners and oppose the state terrorism of the Jiang Zemin regime within their circles.
In the afternoon the organizers of the seminar arranged a special programme for us. We used the precious 20 mins to play the SOS video, with vivid explanations. Everyone was so shocked. Of course, not a single kind hearted person would allow such vicious actions to take place, especially when such actions come from a state towards its own people. A famous Dutch singer came to me, clenching his fist and said, "This is too terrible! You have done the right thing!"
The whole day's activities were carried out very smoothly and we were able to clarify the truth to everyone present. Many ambassadors expressed that they would give us full support. We learnt that it is very important to clarify the truth to people from all levels and all areas, including the religious people.
