May 15th was a special day for Pforzheim, a German city known as ‘the door of the black forest’. The weather was especially good on that day, with brilliant sunshine and soft winds. Falun Gong practitioners held two activities at the same time.
For the fourth time, practitioners organised a Falun Gong workshop for the Natural Healing Association of Pforzheim. This association is the biggest and oldest natural healing institution in Germany and has many members. The workshop began at 10 o’clock in the morning, and once again all the seats were fully occupied. To begin with, a practitioner introduced Qigong and this was followed by an introduction to Falun Gong. When he mentioned the persecution of Falun Gong in China the audience were astonished and expressed their support for Falun Gong. One of them believed that since Falun Gong could reduce people’s stress and calm their minds, therefore, Jiang’s regime can no longer control people’s minds and this is the reason why they began the persecution of Falun Gong. Moreover, she argued that all similar persecutions that had taken place in history tend to illustrate the fact that such repressions will end in failure.
Following the discussion, practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Everybody diligently concentrated on learning the movements. The workshop successfully concluded at 12:30.
At the same time, practitioners from Karlsruhe held a Chinese Human Rights Information Day in the city centre. They handed out many leaflets to people who were interested in Falun Gong. The five sets of exercises attracted many people’s attention; and they stopped at our place and watched the demonstration. Many people signed the petition for the rescue of a German practitioner’s mother, Ms Xu Youlin. In the afternoon, two lovely boys came and wanted to learn the exercises straight away. When they were doing the mediation, both of them sat quietly with their eyes closed for a long time. Before they left, they picked up copies of the Dafa leaflets.
