I am a Falun Gong practitioner residing in Spain. In November 2001, I lost my passport. I went to the Chinese Consulate to apply for a new one on April the 17th 2002. The official in charge of my case, the former director of the consulate Dwen Hsia-Yi, gave me an application form for new passport which stated I could have a replacement by April the 24th. When I went to collect my new passport on April the 24th, the clerk in charge of the passport section Mr. Yu Yang said to me, “You will need to wait a while longer because your documents are still with the Public Police Bureau and they have not yet responded.” After two months, I went to inquire about my new passport, but they still kept me waiting. I contacted Dwen Hsia-Yi and asked him what the problem was. He was non-committal, saying, “What passport? This application was not written by me, so I don’t know.” In February 2002 and 2003, I wrote letters which I sent by registered post to inquire again about my passport, but I got no response.
Under intimidation by the evil Jiang group, the Chinese embassies and consulates do not have the effect of protecting their own citizens, instead, they become institutions which carry out terror tactics as ordered by the Jiang group. Some officials wrongly assess the situation at home and abroad, and abuse their political power by ignoring the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners. Before those who have persecuted Falun Gong practitioners are prosecuted one after another, we would like to remind the persecutors not to forget the lessons of history. Your attitudes and how you treat Falun Gong practitioners will determine your future. At that time, everyone will be held responsible for their wrong-doing.
