Opening Speech from the 2004 European Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference

Greetings, honourable Master.
Greetings, fellow practitioners.

Our Fa Conference is sacred. It is a gathering for elevating our righteous thoughts and encouraging righteous actions.

As Fa rectification period Dafa disciples, a righteous thought we must have is a clear realisation of our enormous historical mission, which is also a major theme of this Fa conference.

Master told us again at the Chicago Conference a month ago “the people that you save, the lives that you save, the sentient beings that you save are not ordinary beings, and it's not something an ordinary cultivator could do. Only Dafa disciples of today's Fa-rectification period are able to do that as they validate the Fa, only they are worthy of doing that, and only they are allowed to do that. So what I'm saying is, the historic responsibility you shoulder is significant, and you are laying the foundation for the future.” “…you still need to step up your clarifying the facts some, and still need to do it in greater depth, do it better, and do it more solidly”.

As Fa rectification period Dafa disciples, our righteous thoughts are also reflected in our completely denying the old forces – absolutely not recognising their persecution, their arrangements, and their existence. Only when we can achieve this clear-headedly, can we genuinely follow Master and walk the right path towards the New Universe. Master said, “all of, and only, the things you do while negating and getting rid of them is mighty-virtue” (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference) “The old forces have arranged for all Dafa disciples a set of their things, so if a Dafa disciple doesn't follow Master's requirements, he must be following the old forces' arrangements. The old forces are in essence gigantic trials and tribulations that accompany you at all times, focused on whether in Fa-rectification Dafa disciples are able to step forward.” (Be clearheaded, 2004)

Our righteous thoughts are also reflected in our thinking, speech and actions as cultivators – looking inward when encountering a conflict, being able to listen to criticisms, not following everyday people’s standards in our private lives, suppressing postnatal notions and attachments and resisting their influences.

Our righteous thoughts originate from the Fa. Master said “during this period, the best way to go is to ensure a great deal of Fa-study.” (Teaching the Fa on Easter, 2004, at the New York Fa Conference) “When you Dafa disciples develop even stronger righteous thoughts among you, that will be what's most magnificent. Starting from each person, let's truly make our environment a very righteous one” (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference). We will cherish this sacred Fa Conference, and let it become a forum for cultivating stronger righteous thoughts, and a momentous point for forging ahead.
