An Open Letter to all Who Participate in the Persecution of Falun Gong

I am a thirty-one year old Falun Dafa practitioner from Sweden and I have something very important to say to all of you who persecute Falun Gong and its practitioners. Since I started practising Falun Dafa four years ago I have benefited tremendously. I used to suffer from various illnesses, severe headaches, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, etc. I used to do many bad things and lived very immorally. Now I am in perfect health, harmony, and enjoy living my life in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

I now study English at university, something I never thought possible. I have never believed in myself, but now I have self-esteem due to the practice of Falun Dafa. I meet a lot of people in my daily life, and many are affected by the compassion I harbour, as well as my selfless nature. I also teach the Falun Gong exercises to people who are interested and everyone seems to like them. I lend them the books of Falun Dafa or even give them away for free, because I sometimes do not have the heart to let people pay for something that is so precious and beneficial. Many of these new practitioners are touched deeply by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and they certainly seem to like my unconditional, compassionate and unassuming manner as well as the kindness of other practitioners. I am not saying this to boast or to be conceited. These are just facts, because I and many fellow practitioners have been deeply touched by the compassionate and profound teaching that Mr. Li Hongzhi has imparted to us. There are millions of practitioners who have benefited just like me.

In my spare time I also work voluntarily for a website called Clearharmony.net, where I mostly do translations from English to Swedish. This website exposes the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China and other issues related to Falun Dafa. But in China you cannot view websites about Falun Gong, because Jiang Zemin has closed them down so that people cannot find out the truth about Falun Gong and his crimes against this practise.

I have cried many times when translating reports from China, because the details are horrifying beyond words. How would you feel being persecuted and tortured just because you do not want to give up your belief in Falun Dafa, something that has given you a new life in terms of higher morals, health, harmony and happiness? Many of the articles I have translated deal with how families are torn apart, how children are left without their parents, how even old people are persecuted to death or disability, how people have to pay thousands of yuan for their stay in hospitals after being tortured by policemen or fined because they have been in police captivity for a certain time. What is their crime? Their only crime is that they are trying to be good people in accordance with Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and Jiang Zemin has decided to label them as criminals due to his jealousy and fear. You just follow his orders and do such horrible things to these kind-hearted and innocent people. Don't you think that this is tragic?

This is the grim reality that I read about when translating these articles. Because I have experienced so much positivity from Falun Dafa I am going to keep on translating these articles until this persecution ends, no matter how much I cry or find them horrible. I feel it is my duty to expose the evil nature of this persecution to all the people in the world. When the whole world knows about this evil and unjustified persecution it is definitely going to end.

Yet some of you still continue to persecute, harass, abuse and torture these innocent people who practise Falun Dafa. Where is your conscience? I believe that you just do it because you follow orders from the authorities. But there is one thing that you should know. Jiang Zemin, the former head of China and the architect of the crackdown, could not stand the fact that so many people were practising Falun Gong back in 1999, before the persecution began. His jealousy and fear of losing his power caused him to crack down on Falun Gong. Now, after five years of brutal persecution, more than one thousand people have been tortured to death because of this. Thousands of people are put in prisons, mental institutions, and labour camps. Millions of innocent people in China are affected by this persecution, which has become a genocide. Do you know that you are part of this genocide when you are persecuting these innocent people and slander Falun Dafa and Mr. Li Hongzhi? Are you not ashamed? What are you going to say when the whole world has found out what you have done to these people? Please wake up and stop hurting and persecuting these innocent people.

However, Jiang Zemin and other top leaders such as Liu Jing , Zhou Yongkang, Li Lanqing, Wang Maolin, Bo Xilai, Luo Gan, Hu Jianto are now facing lawsuits around the world, charging them with genocide, crimes against humanity and torture. Everyone who persecutes Falun Gong will sooner or later pay for their crimes. And everyone has a conscience. Deep inside you know that these people who practise Falun Gong are innocent. Then why are you still doing these horrible things to them?

You may have read in newspapers or seen on television in China that there are claims of Falun Gong practitioners killing themselves or others. You cannot have missed the so called self-immolation that occurred in Tiananmen Square on January 23rd, 2001, where the media promptly broadcasted that they were Falun Gong practitioners. But you should be know that these claims are just lies and
deception. How do I know that?

Falun Gong is practised in more than sixty countries worldwide, and has received more than thousands of proclamations and awards from various governments and organisations around the world. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other human rights organisations, NGOs, and the UN is condemning the persecution, as have thousands of kind hearted people around the world. You do not get to know this due to the powerful censorship and the information blockade in China.

The media here in the West has reported on the self-immolation, which suggests that this horrible incident was staged by the government in China. There are organisations that have analysed the self-immolation video, and one can see that the entire self-immolation incident was very suspicious. For instance, on the video recording of the self-immolation aired on CCTV, one can see a man wearing a military coat and it looks as if he strikes one of the self-immolators with a heavy object on the head, and she seemed to have died on spot. Why were security personnel carrying fire extinguishers, when it is known that they never usually carry them in Tiananmen Square? Philip. P. Pan made an investigation about this and he concluded in his report in the Washington Post on February 4th, 2001, after interviewing people who know Liu Siying, one of the supposed immolators, nobody ever saw her practise Falun Gong. All those other so-called 'suicides' are only reported by the state controlled media in China. Why aren't there such reports by the media in the West? I am sure that this might be hard for you to accept. But think about how you have been deceived over the course of history. What about SARS? What about the massacre in Tiananmen Square back in 1989? Jiang Zemin has so much hatred towards Falun Gong, and he is willing to do anything to crush it. So don't you think that he uses the media to further incite hatred amongst the public and thereby justify his selfish and evil goals?

I have met a few Falun Gong practitioners who have faced the persecution in China, and some of them are now living here in Sweden. Their stories can be found on websites, in newspapers and other media outlets. The sad thing is that you are merely victims of a deceitful propaganda machine. Li Hongzhi has been nominated for the Nobel peace prize two years in row. He has also received the Religious Freedom Award. But this news is never disseminated in China. Isn't that a shame?

Some of you are so deceived by the vicious lies and deception about Falun Gong originating from the propaganda in China. Don't get me wrong and think that I am against China. I love China and its culture as well as the Chinese people. Falun Gong is rooted in the Chinese culture. When Jiang Zemin is persecuting Falun Gong he is destroying China's culture.

You must always have a conscience. You always have the conscience to decide what is right or wrong and good or evil. If you choose the wrong and evil side you will sooner or later face retribution. That is a universal principle. Please, remember this.
