On the 1st of July 2004, Falun Gong practitioners who have been on a week-long car tour of Scotland to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong took a detour to the Chinese Consulate in Edinburgh. After hearing that an Australian Falun Gong practitioner had been shot in South Africa by thugs hired by Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong, the practitioners taking part in the 2nd 2004 Scotland Car Tour felt extremely concerned over the latest attempt by Jiang and his accomplices to export their brutal persecution outside of China. They joined other practitioners at the consulate in Edinburgh to call for an end to the persecution in China and for Jiang Zemin and other instigators of the persecution to be brought to justice for their crimes against humanity.
A letter presenting the facts of the escalating violence and kindly asking people to follow goodness and not someone who exports such violence to foreign countries in an attempt to cover his abhorrent crimes, was handed into the consulate. It was refused. Later a staff member who was entering the Consulate was offered the letter, he said in an angry voice “Do not interfere! Do not cross the line!” But it is obvious that it is Jiang Zemin who has truly crossed the line, to stab at the heart of peaceful people and destroy their beliefs and morality.
