Sweden: Dafa Practitioners in Gothenburg Called on the Swedish People to Express Concern Over the Shooting of a Practitioner in South Africa

On Saturday July the 3rd 2004, several Dafa practitioners arrived at Kunsportsplatsen in Gothenburg, together with the families of practitioners who went to South Africa to peacefully appeal. They called on Swedish people and tourists to express concern over the shooting incident in South Africa. On the evening of June the 28th 2004, during Zeng Qinghong's visit to South Africa, nine Australian Falun Gong practitioners who were on their way to Johannesburg to file a lawsuit against Zeng were attacked by hired gunmen. One of the practitioners was shot in the feet and the bones in one foot were shattered. In the past five years this is the most cold-blooded atrocity against overseas Falun Gong practitioners. The victims claimed that Zeng Qinghong employed hired gunmen to attack them.

According to the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), Zeng has been made a Politburo Standing Committee member, secretary of the Central Committee Office, Director of the CCP Institute, and Vice Chairman of China. He has played a major role in planning and executing the persecution of Falun Gong. He was Chairman of the CCP's Organisation Department in 1999-2002, and became a primary accomplice to Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong by fully devoting himself to this role.

Kind-hearted Swedish people were deeply shocked by the shooting incident and condemned the gunmen and the criminals who persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
