On Sunday July the 18th, UK Falun Gong practitioners staged an anti-torture exhibition opposite the Houses of Parliament in London. July the 20th marks five years of persecution against Falun Gong during which countless inconceivably brutal methods of torture have been used in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief. Practitioners in the UK hoped to expose these methods of torture through re-enacting them and calling for support from the UK people in the call to stop this persecution.
The Houses of Parliament is the home of the UK Government and is also one of the UK’s major tourist spots. Many people were shocked and concerned upon seeing the exhibits and posters and learning about the campaign of genocide that is being waged against Falun Gong in China. People took leaflets and talked with practitioners to learn more about the situation, and many signed a petition calling for the chief instigator of this persecution, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice.
