The persecution of Falun Gong started on the 20th of July in 1999 and so this year on the 20th of July, practitioners from Kiev and Ukraine went to the Chinese Embassy and appealed for an end to the five year persecution.
On the pavement opposite the Chinese Embassy, Ukrainian practitioners held up lots of banners, which read, “We are not against the Chinese government. We appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong”, “Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang to justice” etc. Practitioners also displayed pictures showing torture methods used to force practitioners in China to give up their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Falun Gong has spread to many cities in Ukraine and received recognition from the government.
