Mr. Lian Ping, 29 years old, was from Donggang City, Liaoning Province. In 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, and was arrested and detained twice afterwards. On April 10, 2002, he was arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials. On April 30, 2002, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison. On July 10, 2004, he was tortured to death at the Liaoyang City Prison. His family members are under great pressure from the authorities, and they dare not say anything about his death.
